Konrad's first opened its doors January 2, 1992 under the helm of owner, chef, Konrad Mayerhofer. Konrad is a native of Germany and has an extensive resume beginning with his apprenticeship in Germany, then five years in Switzerland and England then off to the Royal Viking Cruise Line for seven years and the Essex House in New York City and most recently as executive chef at the Marco Marriott Resort.
Konrad's is one of Marco's largest and finest restaurants. It offers three separate dining rooms a lounge and outdoor patio seating. Full service bar available. Konrad's is a favorite with both Islanders and visitors.
The Restaurants ambiance is elegant and luxurious, but manages to retain a casual island feel and families with children are welcome. The attire is resort casual.
The restaurant offers complimentary valet parking along with complimentary taxi service for the island.
Konrad's is conveniently located to the major hotels at 599 S. Collier Blvd in the Marco Walk shopping plaza. Dinner is served seven days in season from 5-10 p.m with sunset specials 5-6 p.m. Lite menu is available in the lounge from 5 until closing. Dinner is also offered in the lounge and patio areas with smoking permitted on the patio. |
